He nodded briskly as she reassured him about the dogs, though since Yamazaki had punched him, they were admittedly the least of his concerns. L and dogs didn't tend to get along; the loud, sudden noises they produced, along with their general unpredictbility, tended to spook the jittery detective.
"Uh... no, please, I can walk as far as your door, at least," he protested, shrugging Sheena and Yamazaki off like an overly worrisome coat. And to prove it, he started heading in that direction (though he held off a touch, deciding that it would be better regarding the dogs if Sheena was the first to approach.)
