L's expression darkened from bewilderment to something like distrust as Yamazaki gallantly offered to walk him home. Like hell was he going to accept such an offer from the man who had decked him just minutes prior, and lead him willingly to the place where he lived.

It was starting to look like he was running out of options and excuses. Sheena's soft, reasonable words made that clear enough.

"I'll stay for a short time," he agreed, eyes still warily on Yamazaki. "If you'll have it no other way."
