Barnaby had only left morning training early because he had a few things to do at home. Nothing too major, more or less office work, and he felt like getting it out of the way now so he and Kotetsu could return on their Lunatic patrol later.
But the last person he had expected to run into was Sephiroth. He should have guessed it, upon seeing the strange, dark shadow on the roof along his path home. But as he stepped a little closer, the silhouette became almost unmistakable. Barnaby really wanted to punch something. Sephiroth, yet again, lurking like a hawk waiting for prey. And after their last encounter, Barnaby had no doubt that something bad was bound to happen.
Thad had him stopping, staring straight up and wondering if Sephiroth was going to come down or just stay perched up there. He was hoping for the latter, just so he wouldn't start something... But he doubted that was bound to be the case.
