"...Yeah. Imagine, I noticed." His words lacked their usual sting as he just let himself collapse against the ground, inwardly shuddering at the experience he had just went through. The climb upwards had drawn on his reserves way more than it should have and a patch in his injured side had grown alarmingly numb. Casually putting a hand there, he flinched as his fingers came in contact with a large, crumbly feeling splinter that had gotten embedded in his flesh.
