It had been a little over a week since the sandstorm, and thus a little over a week since the last batch of newcomers. When the readings indicated that BREW was activating again so quickly, it was a bit of a scramble to get everything prepared. The last time it activated before then was early February, so this really was a small time frame. It had been some time since that happened.

But everyone dutifully prepared just in time for the first arrivals. It was also a relatively good day despite the past few rain showers. At least things were much calmer now.

The x-ray has more detail. For one thing, it can capture the shape of your soul.

The shape of my soul?

[His tone of voice quickly goes from concerned to curious at his question. He had always assumed that his soul would look like him, but the way the other spoke it would seem that souls had a different shape.]

Souls don't look like your body?

They do, but there's always a unique appearance to them as well. Much more spherical in appearance on display usually.

[When you become a Weapon... well. Excuse her while she let's the little scanner run.]

Ah...

[Well, he certainly sounds more interested.]

The x-ray that does this scan does it show your human body too?

[If it does then it's definitely out, but the question comes too late and he flails in surprise as that small scanner begins to go to work. He holds still just in case that sort of thing matters.]

[pishirogane]

Yes. Outline, skeletal structure, so on...

[She looks down at the handheld when it finishes. There's no image, just data.] You've been designated a Weapon by BREW.

[armorbound]

[Skeletal structure? He sighs when hears that and quietly he reminds himself that using the smaller device will have to suffice so he doesn't end up in any trouble.]

A weapon?

[His voice takes on that confused but curious tone as he peers down at the device in an attempt to look at the readings it has produced. Unable to make heads or tails of the information he's looking at he finally glances back up to all of the pictures of Excalibur around the room.]

So I'm like this guy then?

[pishirogane]

[Naoto isn't bothered that he's examining the readout. At his question, she looks around and her expression becomes flat. Dammit... dammit Excalibur...]

Yes and no. You can become a Weapon, but not specifically a sword like him.

[armorbound]

[He's really not sure he wants to know why everyone seems to get that look when Excalibur is mentioned.]

I see. Then how do I know what kind of weapon I am, does that machine let you know?

[pishirogane]

No it does not unfortunately. You must find out your Weapon form. Fortunately, there are Guests at Morning Training who will assist you with that process.

[armorbound]

I see. Then I'll have to make a point to get out and to the next session then.

[He doesn't see a reason to hold back from going to these classes and nodding quickly he waves a hand in thanks.]

You've really been a big help. My name is Alphonse by the way, Alphonse Elric.

[pishirogane]

It will be tomorrow morning starting at 6 AM.

[She tips her hat back to him]

My name is Naoto Shirogane. Pleased to meet you, Elric-san.

[Though, why does that name... Ah.]

[armorbound]

Alphonse is fine! All my friends call me that or Al.

[While he's always one for formalities it always feels weird to have someone address him personally so seriously.]

I'll make sure to check out those sessions, thank you again.

[He thanks her one more time before turning to make his way back out.]

Hm... very well, Alphonse-san.

[She nods, tells him he's welcome, and watches him as he heads on his merry way.]
