Sephiroth retreated back in towards the mirror well before anyone else. Cloud had disappeared some time ago, and he had given up attempting to gain control of the Madness when he had failed so early on. There were simply too many distractions for him to focus on the task, and perhaps a solitary trip would be in order to attempt gaining control.
That was a thought that lingered with the ex-General as he silently made his way over towards the mirror. He hadn't missed Spirit just up ahead, but Sephiroth doubted the Deathscythe held any interest in conversing with him. That suited the ex-General just fine, and he found that he simply preferred it that way.
He wasn't fighting in this war for them, but for Cloud... and the fact that he simply had nothing else to do with his time.
