Characters: Kanji and Tifa
Location: Death City Heights, Building 6, 1-C
Rating: The usual PG-13
Time: February 22nd, afternoon
Description: Cabin fever gets the best of everyone, including grumpy Meisters with a cold.
Kanji lay on his back, staring dully at the ceiling in his bedroom. It was daylight out, but he'd only just now roused himself to consciousness. Wading around in the freezing waters in Norway days ago left him warring with a pretty hefty cold, a battle he was slowly winning, but not without a few sucker punches now and then.
But he was tired of lying in bed, tired of spoonfuls of horrid medicines to break the fever. Kanji threw the covers off of him, determined to continue his daily routine as usual, bad cold or no.
He began to regret it as he immediately felt cold, a shiver racing up his frame, but he pushed himself to his feet, pulled down on that tank top that had stuck to him a little. He hadn't quite broken the fever yet, but the amount of shits he gave? None.
After getting dressed and prepped, the teen opened his door a crack and peeked out. Where was she...?
He stepped out, moved for the front door with renewed confidence. Heheh... she wasn't home!

Tifa blinked when she saw her Meister standing before her, looking up at him from behind the large bag of groceries she held in her arms. They'd been running a little low on foods that she felt would be easier for him to stomach while he was sick and took advantage of his sleeping state to go out herself.
Her expression quickly changed into one of disapproval and she 'tsked' softly, "What are you doing? You're supposed to be staying in bed?"
Naturally, she'd expected him to be a bit fidgety about staying in bed all day--she'd seen him at the hospital--but if he thought he was going to be able to wander around outside, he had another thing coming.
