Characters: Clare Edwards.
Location: Either the Training Grounds (Morning), or Shinbusen's Gym (Afternoons)
Rating: G For the most part.
Time: Morning Train/Afternoons between the 20th and 22nd Details within.
Description: Clare set out feelers for people to help her train and practice, naturally she should, well, train and practice.
Notes: This can either be RANDOM ENCOUNTER or we can Handwave they set-up a time and place to meet. I'm not very picky either way. If they contacted her in her last network post (Here) we should probably go with designed meeting. Just lemme know which, and which day (cause Clare will be moodier while the Norway Mission is happening).
Clare scouted out the morning fields to find a spot a bit more secluded than where everyone else was. She could still hear the others training, and she figured this location was secure enough she shouldn't have to worry too much about being disturbed while she trained.
Save, of course, for people that knew where she was.
It isn't she didn't like people, she did! She just... one thing she's learned in school is that being made a fool of is always better with as small an audience as possible. And since her attempts at various combat related things were foolish enough, she didn't need to make it worse with quite so many people to see. She ridiculed herself enough, she didn't need others doing it too. Still, it wasn't like she could work on her own forever, she needed help. Just... help would mean they don't make fun of her when she screws up. She hoped.

Clare launched as many punches she could in quick succession on the bag. Noting how it reacted differently from her rights, which even if she didn't punch as hard cause a bit more impact compared to her left hand. This, of course, was a matter of physics. Her metal right hand had more mass to it, but she could punch at the same speed as her ordinary left hand. Thus, more power behind the strikes.
She liked it here, it was a better place for her to practice. Quieter than the Training Grounds, warmer too. Although that might become a con as spring and summer arrive. Of course it wasn't a large enough space for all the Guests of Shinbusen, so it wasn't of much use for the guests if they gathered en masse. She let a few people know she trained her after lunch, but before work. A nice change from the training in the morning, plus there were showers here. No walking home all sweaty and gross.

Yes, quiet training away from the others, nobody to interrupt her except people she wanted to have help her on things. That was a flawless plan nobody could screw up. ...Except for Naruto, of course. She didn't dislike Naruto, but he was... very unique. And loud, also loud, very loud.
Clare was improving, but she mostly focused on punching because every attempt at kicking lead to her falling on her rear. Still, she was improving with work. She mixed up how she punched, still keeping the primary striking portion of her hand correct (hitting with the first two knuckles) and not telegraphing as much as before. It was good she was getting better listening to her surroundings... and boots echoed on the floor very well in here.
"Selendis was teaching me combat basics," Clare answered, she didn't need to explain to Roy why that was past tense. With a topic she could simply respond and be less awkward, "I've been going over what I learned there, and what I've seen at morning training. When it comes to transforming that's all me. Yuuri taught me how to the first time, but that was it."
"Morning," Clare didn't stop from her stretching and preparing to start her private bit of training. Eventually she'll be comfortable outside of her quiet corner for the physical side of training. She got there with everything else in school, school at home. She'll get there here... eventually, not today of course.
"There were some issues of anatomical differences that became problematic learning from Selendis," Selendis was a great teacher, but her understanding of humans was missing something. While Clare did wish to have Selendis continue teaching her, it might help to learn from a human every so often.
"I get nervous, it's one thing if I'm working on my own and fall on my rear," Clare started, figuring Hinata might get this, "another thing if I'm surrounded by people. So while I'm happy to work on things I'm already capable on out there, not new things."
That was... different, Clare expected training before observation. She shrugged and started pummeling the bag with whatever punches she felt confident throwing. They weren't perfect, but at least she was striking with the right part of her fists. She wasn't especially strong, or skilled, still her transformed rights were packing some power.
"It is, if I wasn't still pretty weak at everything else," Clare's eyes grew a bit mischievous as she continued, "I seriously doubt you'll even be half as good as me at transforming." Clare sat and figured she could get back to it after Naruto left. A break was something she could probably use.
Clare's eyebrow shot up a little at the answer. It wasn't that she didn't believe him, it just didn't feel complete. She rolled the thought over in her mind a moment, then returned to focusing on the bag.
"Naruto, did you actually listen to what I said?" Clare wasn't chiding, that wasn't the tone for this. This was teasing, completely and totally teasing. She held up her right hand and waved it as it transformed into her gauntlet. "And I've only been at this combat stuff for a few months." Still, the advice on faith was good.
Clare laughs at that, the idea Naruto has to work to be stronger than she is. "Naruto... you're already stronger than me. You've been fighting battles for what, five-six years at home? I've been involved in two battles here. This isn't a competition I can win."
