It would be pointless to argue with L about clothes, Misa knew that from the get-go. They spoke pretty much a different language when it came to that, so she just sighed softly and let the matter go. Light wanted to talk about their work anyway, and she knew that he would probably be trying to get any information he could from the conversation so it was best not to divert.

She watched them, remaining on Light's arm as they spoke to be close to him. He'd filled her in a bit on the murders that had been happening, and it was impossible not to notice the slight similarities to this and the Kira case.

As usual, L was trying to get under Light's skin--not that it really took much trying. Misa perked up more and offered helpfully, "It's got to be solved soon, with the two of you working on it! This guy really has no chance when the two greatest detectives are after him."
