There were alarms and chaos everywhere. Watching it from the first floor platform of a fire escape, Hades thought it looked rather interesting. Not as good as Pompeii or some of the other invasions and catastrophes he had seen, but for that with quite some unusual aggressors and contestants this time. The god didn’t particularly care which side won. He also didn’t move to help.
In fact, he looked almost lazy sitting on the stairs like that and it must have been a combination of sheer luck and impertinence that had left him unattacked for so long. Or maybe he just looked too much like a crazy monster himself with his corpse-pale skin and multitude of fur, feathers and horns so that most familiars had simply mistaken him as one of their own.
Whatever it was, his luck might end short since there was one of the big spiders slowly making its way down the buildings wall and towards him.
