There Is A Fine Line Between Resistance And Stubbornness
Characters:
silvershamurai ,
novelvision and
visceralreality
Location: The Pet Shop -> Shibusen City Park
Rating: Let's say PG-13 for language.
Time: November 20th, Between shifts 1 and 2
Description: Gintoki's had enough with avoiding Takasugi, and he knows Katsura's about done with it too. They need to fix things between them.
Gintoki was waiting outside the cursed pet shop roughly ten minutes before he knew Katsura had to leave for his patrol. How did he know? Well, Gintoki was never one to kiss and tell. He hadn't bothered to leave a sign out front of the office when he closed up early; business had been slow the past few days, but he honestly preferred it that way.
His mind was far too preoccupied, he had too many thoughts criss-crossing through his head. There were too many possibilities, too many uncertainties, and they always originated from the one source; the comrade that he has been avoiding, and been avoided by for the past eleven days (not that he was counting).
Well, if Gintoki had his way, it wasn't going to reach twelve.

The boy turned a corner the moment he reached the Shopping District, moving pretty much on auto-pilot towards the building that currently housed Death City's Office for General Security. Maybe he could sign up to take over a shift again --
-- or maybe he could just head right on home, he found himself thinking, when he looked up and spotted a very familiar head full of silver hair some distance ahead of him.
Damn it. He had been pretty good at avoiding Gintoki thus far, and now the man was right there. Why were his old comrades suddenly all over the place?!
