Characters: Kasuga and YOU
Location: In/Around/On top of(???) Holocaust Mall
Rating: PG/PG-13
Time: Nov 18, Mid-Day
Description: After the battle Kasuga is in need of need of new clothing and so... very unsure.
While Kasuga had spent night after night since her arrival through the shopping district, flitting from one building to the next, she found actually going there to shop to be incredibly daunting. She had spent time on top of the Holocaust Mall, how hard could it be to go inside and just get what she needed? Yet, that seemed to be the problem.
Since her clothing had torn in battle, Kasuga had found a simple happi to wear temporarily until she found something else. What she needed was something easy to move in, something she could work, train and battle in without a worry that pieces of clothing would fly loose or snag on something as well as hide her kunai in easily.
After a deep breath the blond kunoichi stepped into the mall, eyes going from one storefront to the next nervously as she clutched her hand to her chest and nervously eyed the display in each window. It became clearer than ever that she did not understand the wears of the people of Death City. Perhaps it was futile to go alone without the aid of someone that might know what they were doing.

At the moment, she was standing atop Holocaust Mall, sitting on the edge of the building. To most it might look precarious, but Tsubaki seemed perfectly at ease here, enjoying the breeze that came with being up so high.

What Kasuga had not expected to find was that someone else had found a comfortable spot upon the very building she often perched on top of when the city was quiet. Her first instinct was to reach for kunai and expect an attack, but upon closer inspection she noticed the girl as one of the officials of Death City itself.
Standing, Kasuga adjusted her happi as she stepped forwards, unsure if it were okay to disturb the girl's peaceful moment by approaching her or whether she would be better off leaping to the next building and heading to the place she called home as long as she was here.

Tsubaki didn't mind sharing the roof, especially with a fellow ninja. All the ninja she'd met from other worlds had been perfectly nice to talk to, and meeting another didn't bother her in the slightest.
"Hello," she said, her expression open and friendly.

After blinking several times, she bowed her head slightly, "Forgive me, I hope I did not mean to interrupt."

She glanced back out over the city, her eyes panning the horizon. "I just like to watch from up here, sometimes. It's quiet."
She turned to look back over her shoulder again. "You're welcome to join me, if you'd like?"

Though she did not sit, she seemed at as much ease as she would allow herself to be. "Yes, I find that I much prefer the rooftops myself. It is... nice." A shadow of a smile tugged at her lips as she turned her attention towards the girl, bowing her head slightly once more. "I am Kasuga-- I am afraid I have not had the pleasure of speaking to you directly until now." The way her voice carried made it clear that even though Tsubaki was clearly younger, she held respect for her as a native of Death City.

The young kunoichi leaned back on her hands, glancing up at the beautiful older woman. "I think it's just in our nature," she said, grinning. It was easy for one ninja to spot another. Even at rest, they held themselves differently. And they also seemed to have a penchant for travel along rooftops and tree branches.
"My name is Tsubaki," she replied. "It's nice to meet you, Kasuga-san." She paused then, a bit of recognition flashing in her eyes. "Oh, you're Sarutobi Sasuke-san's fiance, are you not?"

However, for Kasuga the mere mention of Sasuke's name was enough to cause her expression to visibly change from the light airiness that had played on her face to a scowl. She tried to keep herself calm, yet she balled her hands up in fists. Fiance-- fiance. So, his lies would continue here, it would seem.
Fighting for control over her emotions was a loosing battle as the woman sputtered out loud. "He is not-- I do not know what he has told you-- Our relationship is not that way-- W-We are not engaged!" Even though she took a deep breath, it was not enough to control the anger that now coursed through her. She was going to kill him. It was hard not to leap off of the building then and there.

"A-ah, I'm sorry," she sputtered back, holding up her hands, palms out in attempted apology. "He must have been joking and I didn't understand."
That sort of thing happened with her sometimes. Tsubaki couldn't always tell when someone was teasing her, and it looked like this hand been the case.

Another look at Tsubaki and her expressions softened slightly. "The fault is not your own."
no subject
"Well, I apologize all the same." She gave the blonde a questioning look. "He does this often?"

She was going to have to have a talk with him. A talk that would most likely involve flying kunai.

"I will have to ask him the next time I see him. There must be a reason he deceived me."

Learning from the horse's mouth that he had told Yukimura as much had been bad enough, but telling innocent bystanders the same lies was going too far. Who else had he told, she wondered... She would find him and get the answers she desired.
no subject
"Well, I hope you're not too angry with him. I don't think he meant it maliciously." She smiled a little brighter. "Maybe he just likes to be associated with you."

"I should be going, though. I need to pick up some things for tonight's dinner." She gave the woman a pleasant smile. "But it was nice to meet you, Kasuga-san."
