Location: Somewhere between Shibusen City Park and Casualty Communal
Rating: G
Time: 13 October, 9:30 AM
Description: Country and citizen run into each other (though not literally) as Saber returns from training. Tea ensues.

The impassive face of the King of Knights betrayed none of the mixture of emotions beneath the surface as she made her way back to the Communal from the training grounds. The stoic mask she typically presented to the world was one she had practised constantly from an early age and honed to perfection during her rule, keeping her at a distance from those she had ruled. It had been partly to hide the truth of her gender, but also for the sake of impartially. And while that impartiality had made her into a king celebrated long after her death, it had also made for a lonely existence.

That did not mean, however, that she did not feel. Her emotions were repressed but not gone; she felt keenly beneath the placid surface. Such as now.

One half of her had thoroughly enjoyed training as she always did; there were few things Saber enjoyed more than testing herself, honing her skills, and sparring with honourable opponents. Perhaps she could be a little rough on them, but it would do them good against the enemies they faced beyond the walls of Death City. But hide it though she did, the petite knight quite enjoyed it.

But the other half of her was worried. Arthur Kirkland had returned to the city, a human embodiment of the beloved country she had failed so long ago. Speaking with him was at once exhilarating, yet at the same time keenly painful. In her eyes, there was no possible way to atone for failing him -- or rather, her own England. She could only try and make up for that in small ways here in Death City, but even that chance seemed to elude her; she had not seen him for days. She couldn't even begin to guess what the reason behind it was, but it was in her nature to worry. What king didn't worry over his country, after all?

She lost herself in thought about what she might do. Tea. Tea might be good. And perhaps scones. She really should pick some up from the pastry shop.
