Location: the park/training area
Rating: PG probably just for Sasuke's mouth :/
Time: August 17, morning
Description: Sasuke's finally come around to the idea of a Meister, and figures he ought to try it out, since the rules here dictate it must be so. And he's not keen on being weak.

Sasuke wasn't sure exactly how long he'd been in this Nevada. One week? Two? Something like that. He'd have kept better track of the time if everything hadn't been so overwhelming. All the days ended up bleeding together, whether for lack of sleep or for the chaos that was happening not just inside his head, but around him. It was only last night he'd felt some kind of minor reprieve in the place of having just some tea. And a decent pot of it, too. Not the crap he was sure they sold at that Deathbucks place.

Either way, it had been enough to soothe his mind to the point he could get his bearings on the situation. This place was nothing like what he was used to. His Weapon was the last thing he'd expected it to be, and while it was pretty much shit, there wasn't anything to be done about it. Training on his own, while it would keep up his previous training in taijutsu, wasn't going to do anything for what they had to presumably do to win this war. There were powerful people here, more than Sasuke had expected, and just the thought that at the moment he was one of the weakest ones felt like poison in his belly.

It was why he was up early this morning in the training ground. The classes were held every morning, but he'd distanced himself away from the others to center himself. His eyes were half lidded, breathing low as his body worked through various fighting stances in slow motion. He might have lost all of his other techniques, but he wasn't about to let his body go to waste. Each movement was almost agonizingly languid, but the concentration used was just as clear as his impeccable balance.

"Eyes, is it...?" he murmured, running through the new ideas it brought to his mind. As much as Sasuke might not have wanted to explain, Sara didn't want to suggest anything without a better backing to his theories. "What does it do, exactly?"

Probably would have been a more helpful explanation if he knew what the hell 'chakra' was, but regardless...

"...A blindfold?" he suggested after a moment. It would vaguely make sense with the eye connection, and it would also explain the material's softness -- anything rougher might be too harsh on a person's face. "How that could be used as a weapon, though, I'm not sure..."

"True enough," Sara conceded with a shrug of his shoulders. "Does that mean you have an idea of how to be used, then?" He was a bit fond of brute force when using other people to do it -- Yuuri was quite literally a force of nature -- but that wasn't to say he couldn't appreciate more subtle tactics. Anything he did himself tended to be of that nature, after all.

Sara shivered slightly at the feel of the cloth moving against his skin, catching the Weapon with one hand to lift it away. "You want to try that badly?" he teased, forcing a smirk and holding the fabric at eye level. "You're more enthusiastic than I thought you'd be."

Sara's only answer was a grin. With a bit of reluctance, he removed his glasses and gingerly laid them aside, and tugged the strip of fabric off his arm before taking it by each end. He hesitated for just a moment -- he valued his own eyes, after all, and the idea of voluntarily blinding himself, even just temporarily, was unnerving -- before sliding the cloth under his bangs and over his eyes, reaching behind his head to tie it in place.

A strange feeling, to have his eyes closed yet suddenly be able to see, and even stranger when he realized he obviously wasn't controlling the vision. A small intake of breath, but inwardly Sara felt more relaxed than anything, similar to when he'd held Kanon's weapon form in both hands.

He felt the movement against his back and in response smoothed that part of the fabric down with a hand, humming softly. "Is it?" he asked softly as an answer to the voice by his ear. Surely there was more to it than just seeing through a blindfold, but even still.

'Knew how to fight' was a bit of an overstatement, but still, it was better than nothing.

Sara nodded, grabbing his glasses and hooking them onto his shirt before carefully standing, somewhat disoriented by the odd way of seeing. "What do you want me to do?" he asked as he steadied himself. There was something different about this sort of vision, beyond just not controlling it himself, but it wasn't something he could name exactly.

"Well enough," was Sara's brief answer. His form was likely atrocious and he felt silly doing so, but he went ahead and swung a fist at the air in front of him. It felt even more awkward to do with nothing to actually hit, but he didn't fancy using a post or anything as a target.

Stranger still was seeing his own arm moving and at the same time seeing where it would finish. The effect was a little dizzying, but he shook his head to steady himself. "Is that how it's supposed to work?"

"Interesting," Sara said, smirking at the sound of the voice. It was less obviously irritated with the world, at least. "And useful. Is that it?" The only real problem he was seeing here was that he would still need another weapon -- not a person, exactly, but something sharp at least, as he doubted he could do anything with just his hands, even if he could react before the enemy.

As for his own clumsiness, it should hardly have come as a surprise. Not everyone had spent their lives training to fight. Some people had more pressing concerns than killing others with their bare hands.

"Oh~?" Sara sounded thrilled at the idea. Perhaps he was just letting his imagination get ahead of him, but the thought of something that could only be managed if there were an enemy to try it out on...he had to suppress a shiver of excitement.

Reaching up and fingering the material of the cloth idly, he said, "But then there's nothing else we can do at the moment, hmm?"

"Ability?" he echoed, frowning, and shook his head. "I don't know yet. None of the people here were very helpful in figuring that out." He said this without much shame, considering that Sasuke had only just figured out his own weapon form. "They only said that a Meister's ability too reflects their abilities back home, but...well, if there were a translation of that I think I might have figure it out by now."

Sara only made a discontented sound. "You'll have to forgive me for that," he said noncommittally. "I'm new to this."

Again raising a hand, this time to undo the knot holding the blindfold in place, the blond shrugged. "Or would you prefer to show me how to do it properly?"

It wasn't as if Saralegui lacked grace entirely, he just generally used it for other activities. No one could ever say he lacked poise in meetings or on the dance floor.

He paused in his motion as he felt the fabric catch on him, and smirked. "Fine then, if you want to that badly," he said, shaking the cloth off and giving it a soft pat, as if to make up for doing so. "What should I do?"
