[OPEN] Earthquake Event
Characters: OPEN
Location: Death City
Rating: Varied
Time: Jan 22
Description: OOC post here.
It's early in the morning -- just after morning training -- when the ground beneath Death City shakes violently in what most of you might recognize as an earthquake. It's not a particularly huge one for the more experienced of the guests, but it sends cracks shooting through the cobblestoned ground of Death City and up the sides of some buildings. A small handful of structures, mostly those that have been abandoned in the course of this war or the very old ones, take the most damage and topple over or crumble at their foundations.
The earthquake lasts no more than half a minute, but the vibrations and aftershocks last through the day. Death City's streets become full of holes, from those the size of apples to what could be described as deep ditches. The greatest damage, however, is the commercial sector, which becomes flooded as the waterways take damage and spill water into the streets. Shibusen's alarms blare out and quick, urgent orders to fix the waterways and search for the injured or anyone trapped in rubble filter in through all networks.
ooc: Like always, please feel free to start your own threads. Follow the subject line format:

Oh, and water, of course. Water, water everywhere.
It's nothing but a sea of confused people and rubble and water and cracks and water and strange large cats in green coats on lamp posts and water and-- wait a minute.
It does take Allen several long moments to register the fact that that's... not exactly a cat. It's doing a very good impression of a distressed one, though, right down to the familiar golden eyes.
After a few moments' staring and hesitation, here he is, wading on over.]
... Hello there. Are you... [part-cat?] all right?

D-don't like water.
[That was about the best he was going to get from the usually friendly and chattery troll.]

[He's still torn somewhere between bemusement and... more bemusement, because he's not sure what else he expected from the strange grey people with horns, but catlike behavior was certainly not one of the things.
It only stands to reason, though, that like humans they would have some variety.
Still...]
It seems like it would be uncomfortable to stay up there until the water recedes. [He brushes himself off a little, completely uselessly because you don't brush water off.] If you'd like... I can help you someplace dry...?

Do you think you can manage? Like. Fur sure?
