Sephiroth didn't whine. He'd never whined a day in his life, and he had no doubt that Cloud was more than aware of that fact. Of course he knew why the blonde was reacting this way, and despite the snarled words, he found himself smiling subtly with fondness. The gesture was almost invisible, but it was there regardless.

"Then I suppose that it's fortunate that we're obtaining it then, hmm?" He murmured with a subtle smirk curving on his lips. There was no offer to join with the hunt, knowing that Cloud would snarl at him for trying, and so he remained on the sidelines watching with hidden amusement - amusement that only seemed to grow when Cloud tossed aside the damaged cans.

"I suppose one of us has to be picky, hmm?" Sephiroth muttered in response before Cloud picked everything he needed and came back over. He offered to take the bag of kibble from Cloud's grasp even as he said, "Thank you."
