EVENT: The Attack of the Clowns
Early in the morning, those who had brought one back would find the bird keychains they brought back from their trip to that skii resort doing something...strange. The small eyes on the things started pulsing with a faint light that might go unnoticed at first. It doesn't stop though, and keeps right on pulsing for the rest of the morning.
Shortly, before noon, the light stops pulsing and shines bright enough to be uncomfortable.
Two things happen at once when it does.
One of these things is this: within a 50 meter radius of every keychain, strange ripples appear in the ground. From these ripples, something that is barely humanoid in shape slowly ascend. Their colours range from red to silver to yellow to purple. When they've materialized all the way, the Clowns immediately spring into action, attacking anyone nearby and, if there is no one, move in whatever direction they were facing, seeking victims.
The other thing that happens is a voice, young, lilting and feminine, being projected through the keychains.
""Thank you for all that you have done: none of this would have been possible without your contributions. I would thank you all in person except I don't believe I am really welcome here. Which is a pity as I hadn't gotten to meet all of my lovely victims the first time around. Please accept these children as a token of my appreciation instead. They are a little, ah, crude, but I do hope you will all play nicely~."

Akiha + Sion | Closed

Such impulsive actions had landed her in a few problematic situations and she hadn't made it out unscathed. Finding Lily and the man that had been a victim was a sharp reminder that she needed to find her partner. So, instead of heading to the Clinic, she continued to work her way back toward Fatality, hoping Sion was nearby. Really, they needed to set up a standard meeting place if things like this happened again.
Akiha had turned a corner, right into a purple clown, about the same time she finally felt Sion's wavelength tugging at the corner of her mind. Feeling weaker as the clown attacked her, Akiha called out to her partner as best as she could over their link as she started to fight the clown.
Soul Bite was helping her take back the energy the clown took from her, but she was tired. Bleeding from a lot of superficial wounds including one on her forehead that made her look worse than she was, one side burned, and a noticeable limp, Akiha didn't know how much longer she could hold out on her own.
She needed Sion. She needed her badly. It didn't seem like she was doing much damage to this clown compared to the others...]

...well, if Sion had one good thing going for her, it was her legs. They were for more than just staring at, for sure. She took off at a sprint in the direction of where she felt Akiha, wasting no time in contemplation or worry. ]
Akiha!

With it separated from her, Akiha stumbled back closer to Sion and reached her hand back. If she could get her hands on Sion before the clown recovered, she'd be able to kill it.]

The clown twitched and then melted into a puddle of purple as it died. Stumbling back, Akiha put her back to the nearest wall and slid down to the ground, cradling the staff to her.]
I... I think I'm going to throw up. They're us.

[ Because that certainly wasn't a good enough explanation for her discerning mind. ]

[Which would explain why Akiha's side was a bit burned.]
That witch used the data from when they had us to create these... these... things.

[Akiha suddenly stopped and dropped the staff on the ground, then crawled a few feet away so she could throw up. Too, too much evil energy.]

Just to be sure, she kept an eye out for any other foes. ]

[She's grateful her hair was held back, though she's covered in enough blood it was the gesture that mattered more than anything else. She wiped her face to clean her mouth and get her blood that was dripping into her eye from the cut on her forehead.
Akiha leaned against Sion.]
Where were you? I couldn't remember where to look...

[ No, she is not slightly embarrassed at not being at Akiha's side when Akiha needed her most. ]

Rather than fighting, I believe you require medical attention.

And you should get treated before you exert yourself.

...hmph. Just note that I am going to do what you say but not without complaint.

I'm just glad you're with me now.
