[Fishing was a common method used by Sweepers to catch criminals. Eve even used it one time when she was with Train and Sven. So she walked along the lake shore, using herself as bait.

She wasn't scared. Not when Keroro was here with her.]

[It's great and all that Eve was fine being bait. As Keroro scurries to keep up, he can't but help to feel that maybe it would be better if she was being bait by herself....

But at the same time he knows that he couldn't really let her be bait by herself much as he wanted to.]

[It didn't occur to Eve to tell Keroro to stay back. As far as she was concerned, when they were together...they were invincible. It was the same feeling she had when she fought alongside Sven and Train. Somehow...no matter what, she was sure they'd be fine, and they'll finish the Kishin Egg off then go buy souveniers just like they always do.

The lake water lapped at the shore gently, and deep underneath the calm waters something's eye's glowed.]

[Keroro distracts himself with the little circular footprints that he's making on the sand. He's so successful distracting himself that he doesn't see the faint ripple in the water as something heads towards them at a rapidly increasing speed.]

[Eve sees it though, thankfully. She leans down and reaches out for Keroro's hand, ready to scoop him up and dodge if it came to it.]

Keroro, transform.

[That immediately causes him to look around for the monster. Instead of transforming which would have been the smart thing to do.]

[...well, she can't say it was completely unexpected. Eve knows her partner, after all.

Without hesitating, she scoops Keroro into her arms and jumps to the side and into a roll as their enemy breaks the surface and attacks the spot they were standing in just moments ago.]
