Characters: The unlucky people who are being attacked by Witches in South America
Location: Areas surrounding San Martín de los Andes, Isla del Sol and San Pedro de Atacama
Rating: PG-13(?)
Time: June 10th to June 12th
Description: In the area surrounding San Martín de los Andes, Isla del Sol and San Pedro de Atacama, there have been reports of large, bird-like creatures attack and consuming humans. A request was sent out to Shibusen to deal with this threat.
San Martín de los Andes
A town famous for its tourism. It gets chilly at night, but during the day it's bright and sunny with plenty of beaches. Incidentally, it's a famous place for birdwatching during the summer. Needless to say, after more than a few bird watchers were seen being carried off there are fewer of them hanging around lately.
Isla del Sol
An island with harsh climate and rocks. Lots and lots of rocks. It is also rich in old ruins and archaeological sites. The views from the top of the mountains, especially at dawn and dusk are said to be breath-taking. Lately though, it's less the view that's taking the tourists breaths away so much as the giant birds (suspected to be Kishin Eggs) swooping down at them and eating them.
San Pedro de Atacama
Another nifty place for eco-tourism where tourists can choose to go on exploration tours in natural landscapes. Lately though, many tourists who go to the Valle de La Luna and the Chaxas Lagoon, haven't been returning. When a couple of survivors finally made it back, they spoke about a monstrous, pink bird devouring their fellow tourists.

Isla del Sol (Bolivia) - Six and Holiday
[That mission with the "owl" came to mind. They had the motorcycle, but they hadn't practiced him driving while throwing her, so they left it behind. Well, that and motor vehicles weren't allowed on the island.]
[There's very little in the way of people out here. The most excitement seems to be at the excavation sites that dot the island in addition to the occasional village, none of these being very large.]
This doesn't make sense though. I'd expect a large kishin hunting in a more target-rich environment. This isn't like those koala kishin where one or two souls likely last them a while.

[At least the scenery was pretty amazing. Holiday insisted that she be in Weapon form once they left the bike just in case they run into trouble, but it didn't mean she couldn't appreciate what she could see of the view.]
It's possible these are smarter than we were told. Maybe they thought that since the population is small, they could get away with it longer. If what you think is true, hopefully our target is weak from malnourishment.

[He motions with one hand to take in the lack of cover. If things go sour, with no motor vehicles, escape would be near-impossible and help would take time to arrive. Time they likely wouldn't have.]
[He keeps looking upward, looking for a sign of anything circling overhead. Some birds mostly but nothing too large from what he could tell. That doesn't mean that nothing is there though.]
Days like this I'd trade my Soul Protect for Soul Perception.

At least it can't spot us for tasty treats right off. We may still have the element of surprise for us.
Modsquad: BRING IT ON.

Ha! So they sent someone today too!

That must be it. [Her voice was kept low, though. Holiday could swear that she could spot something else... What is that?]

Concaw mago caw winwin macaw. [When she brought it away from her mouth, there was a glowing red feather between her fingers that she threw at the chakram before it could fall too far. Should it hit, the feather will explode, though the explosion won't be too strong.]

[A red feather? From that big blue thing? She glanced over to the macaw, expecting to see a patch of red on the top of it's wings, but instead saw a young woman sitting on top. Her eyes widened.]
[Then the explosion came and, for a moment, all thought ceased as she fell back to Earth.]

[He runs towards where she's falling, eyes flicking back and forth between her and the macaw. Being on the ground puts him at a distinct disadvantage. He saw the explosion, of course, but not the exact cause. He also can't see the figure on the macaw's back.]

[Loud, and decidedly human (for a given value of 'human' anyway) laughter rang out at the hit.]
Bull's eye~!
[The Witch wondered if she should throw another, but, ah...where would be the fun in that. She placed a hand on her familiar's head and decided to land a few meters away from the human below.]

[On the downside, she couldn't hear or see anything just yet and she knew that she was falling rather quickly. Hopefully Six could catch her, but she also wasn't sure what the Witch was up to either...]
[They needed to get out of here...]
I know I'm on hiatus, but I wanted to at least help finish this up.
[He manages to get under Holiday just in time, jerking his hand through the space in the center of the ring and spinning his wrist to help slow her momentum. She still bites into his skin due to force of impact, but it's manageable.]
[He doesn't tell her what he's going to do. He knows they can't complete this fight. They're not ready yet. It's time to abort.]
[He breaks into a run, eyes darting about to try and find some sort of cover.]
