Characters: Genesis + Sephiroth
Location: Bavaria, Germany
Rating: PG
Time: 7th of June, around midday.
Description: Two ex-SOLDIERs go to find a blacksmith while their respective Meister's are hard at work.
[Sephiroth had been on his way to the mirror after he'd parted from Cloud before he'd said when he'd met Genesis along the way. The pair hadn't lingered at all and had gone through the mirror to the country of Germany to go in search of the blacksmith that Genesis had told him of. It hadn't taken long given their ability to fly, and he had long ago gained control of the pockets of Madness Wavelength around to trust himself to go on such ventures without his partner.
He held no fear of being attacked throughout their travels. Being at the level he was, it was impossible for a kishin egg to best him in battle, and judging by the levels of Madness in the area, there were thankfully no Witches within their vicinity.
They'd reached the blacksmith without any hassle, and settled themselves in. Sephiroth hadn't hesitated in placing his order, or pointing out the urgency of it, as he handed over the designs he'd created of Cloud's lost spauler. His partner needed it replaced, and with no skilled workers of the sort within the city, he had gone to the next best option.
The task itself would take a good few hours, which Sephiroth was fine with. Nodding his head, the ex-General took his leave to head back outside. He wouldn't go too far, as he had no intention of returning back to Death City without it, but he saw little reason to remain within the small confines of the blacksmith.
It was warm when he emerged, and he stood silently a few paces outside of the main door while waiting for Genesis to rejoin him.]

Lost in thought, he sometimes found himself slow to react, such like when the smithy asked him for his request. Genesis had to shake his head and get his thoughts straight before telling him what he needed: a simple sabre suitable for a civilian. Thankfully, there was one ready to be bought, and so Genesis didn't take long before stepping out as well to wait with Sephiroth now with his purchase in hand.]
So, how long did they tell you to wait?
no subject
A few hours, but you do not need to wait that length of time.
[If something was troubling Genesis about departing the city, Sephiroth wouldn't hold him up.]

[Genesis finds a spot to lean against and does so, taking a breath to calm his mind and focus on the fact that he was here with someone he could talk to-- someone who knew him well enough that he could trust. There was no one else in Death City like Sephiroth for him.]

[Genesis looked around. They were surrounded by quaint, quiet houses. It seemed that they could definitely speak in peace.]
no subject
I have never considered you the 'sappy' type.
no subject
Really now? And here I thought my love of poetry would so easily give away my flair for the romantic.
no subject
Contray to popular belief, I have never considered the two to have been connected.

I would have to have been blind not to see your passion for things. [He has just never really connected it to anything else.]

[Genesis chuckles again. He was always the shameless kind of man.]
no subject
But there are some things that you keep from me.
[Not that he didn't from Genesis, in fact he was quite the opposite to the other man. There wasn't much at all that he allowed for anyone else to see of him.]

[For a moment, Genesis is quiet. He supposes he's learned his lesson, that sometimes by hiding things, he could let things get ugly. It was a very hard lesson to take when his degradation began.]
Speaking of things that I keep from you, I suppose I need to let you know something.

Edgeworth believes it is the Black Blood flowing through my veins after our mission in San Jose.
no subject
It was easier to fixate on things beyond what he tried his best to ignore, but it was in moments like these where he had little choice.]
The Black Blood does well to manipulate your fears against you. Your Meister is correct, for it is impossible for it to be the voice of Jenova.

[Genesis frowns. During his first days after the attack, he had thought that in some way his Jenova cells had awakened again in some way.]
But still, it worries me how this new ailment makes me so much more susceptible to madness now.
no subject
The talk about being susceptible to madness had him glancing down as a subtle smirk curved on his lips. He couldn't help but chuckle lightly before glancing back to his companion.]
That is a battle I have been fighting since I arrived here. If I can overcome the power the wavelength has on the mind, you would be capable of doing such a thing.
no subject
[Genesis felt funny, and somehow relieved at Sephiroth's words. It was almost as if he could breathe easy now knowing that he isn't really alone in this.]
Tell me, what tips do you have about dealing with madness?

While I feel certain I can go about it myself, I'm not too sure on how the Black Blood will react. I wouldn't like to endanger my partner as well. Could I ask you to accompany me for this training?
no subject
If that is what you wish. However, you might do far better with Cloud accompanying you also. His Meister ability negates the effects of the Madness Wavelength.

What was it that he was missing?]
no subject
Is anything the matter, Sephiroth?
no subject
No, nothing.
[He pushed what thoughts he had to the back of his mind at that point while he glanced off to the scenery around them.]
If that is what you wish, then I will do what I can.
no subject
[He smiles warmly at him, then.]
It matters a great deal to me that you're willing to help.
