Characters: Bakura, the Yugibros, Takuto and Takuto's not!harem, with special lurking appearances from L and Yami Bakura.
Location: Bakura's brand new sparkly luxury apartment, Fatality Condominiums-5D

Time: June 5th, evening
Description: Bakura throws an apartment warming party! And makes the mistake of letting Takuto plan it. Strip dueling, anyone?

The apartment was huge and seemed almost at odds with the relaxed, homey air that Bakura's previous apartment held. This one was a grand affair, an extensive patio with a hot tub, a slightly sunken living room full of couches. The large dining room table was laden with snacks including both bought and homemade pastries and the living room table has a ton of Battaku cards as well as a stack of Death City Off brand horror movies.

All in all, exactly what one would expect from a Bakura party. ...though when Takuto brought his party supplies, the tone of the room might change...

Sugata was secretly looking forward to anything Yako was going to bring to this party. He didn't really know what she was going to bring, but he hoped that she would bring some homemade delectables. He knew the girl was an amazing cook after sampling some of the dishes she made for him during their first night of bonding. And, the cake she baked him for his and Takuto's birthday was delicious.... He grabbed a plate and started to lightly load it up with sweets. He was going to do his best to sample everything once!

Once his plate was full he made a quick sweep of the room and spotted Yako out of the corner of his eye. He then makes his way over to his best friend's girlfriend. "Good evening Yako. It's been a while, how have you been?"

"Shindou-kun!" Yako greeted him with a warm smile, raising the drink Sasha had mixed for her in a sort of salute. "It has been, hasn't it? I've been...pretty good, all things considered." It was a discrete, polite nod to the drama Sai had tried to stir up after calling out Takuto's faithfulness over the Network. Luckily, that had mostly been settled without much trouble. "How about you?"

His lips thin slightly at her discrete nod to everything that had transpired over the past couple of weeks. The important thing is that she's alright now. He had heard briefly from Takuto that they managed to work things out, but he can't imagine how stressful that must have been. "Well that's good to hear. As for myself I've been doing alright." he paused as he picked a little at the food on his plate. "Still trying to get used to going on missions. But I think I'm getting the hang of it."

"It does take some getting used to," she agreed, taking another long sip. "Have you found an official partner yet, or are you trying out how you resonate with different people?" Yako had done that for about six months, so there was no accusation or judgment behind the question. Some people found the person who fit them best right off the bat, and some people didn't. It was that simple. "Getting used to eating souls takes a little while, too."

He will nod to that. "Not yet. There have been a few people that I've resonated with, but I've only gone on two missions with one of them." he paused. "So I guess I'm trying out how I resonate and work with others." Ideally he'd like to hold out for a partnership with Takuto. But they haven't really gone out on a mission yet, and he was the type who wanted to keep active. He can't help but shiver slightly at her remark about eating the souls. She was definitely right about that too. But, speaking of Takuto... he looks up at Yako. She was a weapon, she probably knew this better than Takuto did.

"Do you have, ah, 'cool weapon moves'?" Yes this is a serious question.

"'Cool weapon moves'?" She echoed, eyebrows raising at the phrase. She can't help the small laugh that bubbles up, but answers his question since he seems to want an actual answer. "Yes, I guess I do. Or at least, as cool as whip-attacks can guess. I can suck energy out of enemies, and I can use the energy I take as an attack, paired with a lash. It's pretty effective. On the less-offensive side of things, I can do some minor healing with the energy as well. Why do you ask?"

Hey if you want to question the person who said it, question your boyfriend. Because he was the one who brought it up in passing. He lowers his gaze momentarily as he looks at one of the creampuffs on his plate. "How did you come across them? Did you have to do anything special? Or--?"
