Characters: Bakura, the Yugibros, Takuto and Takuto's not!harem, with special lurking appearances from L and Yami Bakura.
Location: Bakura's brand new sparkly luxury apartment, Fatality Condominiums-5D

Description: Bakura throws an apartment warming party! And makes the mistake of letting Takuto plan it. Strip dueling, anyone?

The apartment was huge and seemed almost at odds with the relaxed, homey air that Bakura's previous apartment held. This one was a grand affair, an extensive patio with a hot tub, a slightly sunken living room full of couches. The large dining room table was laden with snacks including both bought and homemade pastries and the living room table has a ton of Battaku cards as well as a stack of Death City Off brand horror movies.

All in all, exactly what one would expect from a Bakura party. ...though when Takuto brought his party supplies, the tone of the room might change...

The fact of the matter was that Mizuno didn't really solidly know the other people at this party. But she sure as hell knows Takuto and has no problem sidling up to him when she gets to the party, bouncing a little on the balls of her feet.

"Takuto-kun! What's this?" Seems she was distracted by the booze, whoops. And she picks up a bottle and looks at it closely, curiosity written all over her face.

"H-hey Mizuno-chan." He suddenly felt a little guilty, taking the bottle gently from her and setting it back down on the counter. Then again, Mizuno could make her own decisions just like anyone else.

"My old partner left some things behind when BREW sent him home. I figured it was just going to waste and it might make the party a little more interesting." A pause, as he gave her a somewhat serious look. She didn't have to drink, obviously, but she should at least know what she was drinking "It's alcohol."

The whole partner explanation really just left Mizuno more confused than she had been. But then the blunt truth of the matter finally came out and she gasped, covering her mouth with one hand in... possibly an over the top dramatic gesture, wow.

"But aren't we underage here?" Her eyes went wide as she blinked at Takuto.

He nodded, looking down at his own glass which was clearly not for kids.

"I figure that if we're old enough to fight in a war, we're old enough for anything." Besides, Takuto was only three years away from being legal now that he's seventeen. "Obviously you don't have to drink any if you don't want to."

And then he winces just a little. "But I think it's probably better if you try it out here first before you end up going to Las Vegas and making really really terrible decisions. F-for example."

While she was busy wondering what horrible decisions she could possibly make under the influence of alcohol, Mizuno picked up another of the bottles and looked at it closely. "I guess that makes sense!" She was way too willing to accept any explanation ever.

"Hey, Takuto-kun... does any of this actually taste good?"

He shrugged. "You'll probably want to stay away from the whiskey." Which, unfortunately, was what most of it was. Oddly enough, that's what she'd find Takuto drinking, but it had been Aion's usual drink of choice so there's something oddly nostalgic about the taste for him.

"I could try making you a drink if you want." He was no bartender but he could probably come up with something colorful and fruity that she was certain to enjoy.

It wasn't hard for her to figure out that most of the bottles were labeled as the very thing Takuto was telling her to stay away from. But at his offer, she brightened and grabbed his arm excitedly.

"Oh, yes! I'll drink anything you make for me, Takuto-kun!" Is that a little bit of flirt there? Naw, couldn't be.

He grins, because her enthusiasm is always cute. But he's going to need his arm to pour and such, so he takes it back with a laugh. "Okay, just give me a second."

And he pulls out a glass, fills it generously with ice, then adds a little bit of orange juice, and a little bit of some other things, and passes her the glass.

"If it's horrible, you don't have to drink it...."

She watches him attentively because maybe she can duplicate it later. She won't be able to though, because she doesn't quite catch everything he puts in there. When he hands her the drink, she immediately takes a long drink.

And then coughs, blinks at the glass, and takes another, smaller drink.

"...wow! It's really tasty!" She has both hands around the glass now, looking down into the liquid excitedly.

"Really?" Seems he wasn't as bad at this as he thought he might be. "Just... just don't drink it all too fast, okay?"

Because with the way she was looking at it, he was a little concerned she would pull a Ryuzaki and try to down it all in one gulp.

She shook her head and looked up from the drink, smiling at him. "I won't! I promise! I'll be really, really careful!"

Taking another sip, she shivers a little, wiggling a tiny bit on the spot in excitement.

He laughed a little at himself for being so worried when she in fact easily promised to behave.

"Alright, alright." And after he cast his eyes towards the rest of the party, he looked back to her. "Have you tried playing Battaku yet?"

"Bat...taku?" She tilted her head slightly to one side and gave Takuto a curious look. "What's that?"

"It's a card game! Ryou and the frog alien that runs the card shop invented it." He gestured towards the pile of cards on the table.

Bouncing a little on the balls of her feet, Mizuno looked at the cards excitedly. "It sounds like a lot of fun!!"
