[OPEN] May 2013 Introduction Log
Characters: Volunteers, Newcomers and OPEN for mingling!
Location: All Around Death City
Rating: Varies
Time: May 28th, All Day
Description: Welcome to Death City!
BREW doesn't think about the heat wave, too much cake or deadly situations brewing in the south. After powering up, giving energy readings on the night of the 27th that alerted Shibusen to new arrivals, they turn now to volunteers to assist in giving the newcomers the information and supplies they need.
Perhaps you're one of the ones who woke up in the Kishin Chamber on the morning of the 28th. Perhaps you live in Casualty Communal and were woken up by equipment transporting strange x-ray machines to rest in front of the building, prepared to scan the fresh meat and determine which are Meisters and which are Weapons.
No doubt they're confused... let's give them a warm welcome, shall we?
[ooc: Yes, this is forward-dated, but always good to have it up and ready! Newcomers! Simply tag in to any or all of the sections here and volunteers will pop right up to greet you ASAP! The last section is completely OPEN for newcomers, volunteers, or Guests all ready in Death City who want to come up and say hello. Have fun!]

Robin really wanted an answer to that question. The rational part of her brain said that it was not named after her -- Death Robbin's had two B's in the name, after all! -- but she still felt bothered by it just the same. Of course, the tour had been useful otherwise. The city was so massive. Not even Ylisstol had been that large, and it was the biggest city that she had ever seen at home. Part of her wanted to get back out there and explore it, but it seemed too large to do that reliably.
And, of course, there were other things to do, too. She needed to find out if she was a weapon or a meister. Ryou mentioned that came at the end of the tour, though she hadn't quite connected those large machines to that just yet. She stood, patiently, and waited her turn.

"Hello. You're waiting here for your soul to be examined, right?"
no subject
"At least, I think so." She looked at the machines. "I admit I'm a little confused how it can examine my soul..."

Because Maka and Kid have other things to do, they can't always be around and sometimes there's far too many guests to handle. On occasion he'll simply allow the volunteers to do the work, but today was one of his less busy days so he has some time.
"For instance, your soul is rather adorable. I can see that you're very loyal, though you can be rather impulsive at times. You'll have to be careful with that and not make decisions too quickly if you decide to fight. You're a Meister, so you'll be the one making a lot of the decisions if you want to take up a partner."
no subject
"I'll keep that in mind," she said. "I guess--ah, well, I'm a little relieved. I was a tactician on my world, so I am certainly used to making decisions. It seemed easier to make battlefield decisions when you're not a weapon."
But having someone's life literally in her hands was a new level of responsibility. It left her quiet, if briefly. After a second's more thought, Robin flushed a bright red color. "Wait, my soul is adorable? How, uh, how do you know what my soul looks like?"
no subject
Her embarrassment is just another bit of amusement to him, the exact reason he pointed it out in the first place. Some people were just too easy.
"I told you, Soul Perception lets me see your soul and into it. Your's is rather pink and bouncy, and seems to be very happy."
no subject
"P-Pink," she repeated. "And bouncy. And happy. That's--you know, I don't really know what to make of that. Is everyone's different? What's yours like?"
no subject
He keeps that same calm smile, acting like it's no big deal that just a look at his soul was enough to scare someone into being too afraid to fight. For her age, Maka did take it rather well after she got over her initial shock.

She stepped closer and put a smile on her face, extending a hand to him. "Well, I have an overactive imagination, so when I decide what it looks like, I'll let you know." She chuckled. "I'm Robin. I'm--ah, a former tactician in a lord's army, now."
