BREW doesn't think about the heat wave, too much cake or deadly situations brewing in the south. After powering up, giving energy readings on the night of the 27th that alerted Shibusen to new arrivals, they turn now to volunteers to assist in giving the newcomers the information and supplies they need.

Perhaps you're one of the ones who woke up in the Kishin Chamber on the morning of the 28th. Perhaps you live in Casualty Communal and were woken up by equipment transporting strange x-ray machines to rest in front of the building, prepared to scan the fresh meat and determine which are Meisters and which are Weapons.

No doubt they're confused... let's give them a warm welcome, shall we?

[Honestly, a lot of what the video's showing goes right over someone's head when they're too busy being uncomfortable. Karina had been sent here right after doing her job as Blue Rose, so she was still in her skimpy blue costume adorned with Pepsi NEX banners.

Although most of what Spirit said wasn't caught by her, what totally wasn't missed was her loss of powers: and it was awfully obvious, too, what with her ice-do starting to melt, revealing blond hair under the blue frost. Thankfully, she had the Kaburagi Liquors towel in her hand. Hopefully, no one would notice how tacky it was with its cartoon drawing of a snake... or the name Kaburagi for that matter. She quickly wrapped it around her melting hair to at least ease a bit of her discomfort. That still doesn't take care of the fact that her entire back was drenched in ice water and she only had a bathing suit-like costume on. The heels, she could live with for a while, but she totally couldn't wait to voice her one concern at whoever was listening:]

Are you going to supply us with any change of clothes?! Your tool or whatever that is definitely picked an awful time to pull some people into this place!

[Why is he always the one stuck around difficult women? But despite the amusement at the situation, it is a rather windy day out and if she goes out like that she'll probably freeze despite it only being in the 70's. So Stein walks over to her, already in the process of taking things out of his lab coat pockets and moving them to his other pockets.]

Unfortunately that would require you making a trip to the mall and seeing which stores abide by the request to give guests necessities for free, however you may have some difficulties considering it's rather windy today.

[Once in front of her her takes off his lab coat and offers it over.]

I'll be at the Soul Perception section at the apartments at the end of the tour, so you can just give it back then. From there I'd suggest contacting the other guests and asking if any of them could let you borrow some clothes until you can get your own.

[Although Karina had been all huffy and bossy earlier, that all went away when Stein offered his coat. Her eyes quickly looked away as soon as she took it and wore it, a little embarrassed by what a show she was making. Besides that, she didn't expect the nice treatment after being pulled into this place.]

[At least she calmed down after that, it would have been annoying if she'd continued to be in a foul mood. Stein gives a smile around his cigarette, obviously not a care to smoking inside, and tries to come off as friendly. Unsuspecting guests are always the best ones to make impressions on.]

That's correct. I'm Dr. Stein, one of the professors here at Shibusen. I understand it's an inconvenience for most to be brought here like this, so we try to do what we can to make up for it.

[Karina didn't mind the smoke so much, especially since her part-time job as a singer did take her to many smoke-filled places. She was just a little more concerned now with what life would be in this.place.

But first things first... introductions.]

Thank you, Dr. Stein. I'm Karina Lyle. I was... a pop star back home.

[It was a small lie. But she was used to keeping her identity as a superhero under wraps.]

Will we be required to attend classes here?

It's a pleasure Karina. Classes aren't mandatory here for guests, no, but you can attend if you want. There's a basic file I can send you later that covers just about everything taught in the introduction classes, and most other questions can be answered by other guests who've been here for a while now.

[It would be so much easier if the others would spread around the document so he didn't have to keep doing it, but oh well. It's just another part of his job to save himself some time.]
