[Aqua hadn't been certain what to expect when she stepped through the mirror. This was not a continent she'd ever visited before and the Kishin Egg they were supposed to be fighting sounded bizarre (though she admits, maybe not quite as bizarre as a killer pumpkin coach).]

I've never been to this part of the world before.

((OOC: Is that what she gets to fight? I'm playing the game now and I just finished Terra's story. Poor, poor man. D: And just started Ven's.))

Can't say that I have either. *From what he understood, in this part of the country it was heading into fall but it felt about the same as back in Death City.*

So we have to find this kishin egg that looks like a bear. Where do bears usually like to go?

((OOC: At one point, yes. Even if it's not the hardest boss fight it was still one of the stranger ones.))

[His guess was as good as hers, really.]

Well, the mission details say they prefer to attack from above, so maybe somewhere with more trees?

Either trees or up on the high ground. But since it looks pretty flat, lets go look for some trees. *Just in case, Auron took the giant Spiran-style katana from his back to guard them both. Hard for Aqua to transform if she was injured by surprise.*

((OOC: Tiny!Ven is the cutest Ven.))

[She wondered for a moment if the different way she perceived space in Weapon form would be better for preventing them being caught off guard...but that way if they were caught unawares it would, in a way, get both of them at once.

Just to be safe, though, she concentrated and transformed her arm into the 'blade' of Stormfall.]

Let's go.

*At times, Auron would lead and other times, Aqua walked ahead of him. Auron kept alert, looking around in the landscape and in trees for their quarry.*

If you know Sora, did you meet him on his quest to find his friends?

No. [Her reply is a little absent-minded since most of her focus was still on their surroundings.] I guess you can say it was the other way around.

He met you on a quest? [He doesn't realize they are talking about Sora at two different periods of his life.] He runs into everyone, seems like.

It was something our Master asked us to take care of. [Even if he does, she sort of does realize it. After all, he seemed to have met Sora when he was travelling around and she klnew from talking to Sora and Riku that that didn't happen until later.] Something pulled me towards their homeworld and I met them by chance.

[Or was it chance? It was hard to say.]

Guess the worlds aren't as big as we think.

*Auron quiets when he reaches a particularly thick band of trees. Maybe their quarry could be hiding here.*

They really aren't...but that's not a bad thing. [At least it means finding the friends she made here was a possibility if she ever makes it out of the Realm of Darkness.

And was it only their imagination, or did something rustles briefly in the trees just now?]

*Without saying a word, Auron extended his right hand toward her. Better to start resonating now than being caught unprepared.*

Sorry this reply is so late.

[She took his hand then wordlessly shifted into the form of Keyblade, Stormfall.]

No problem

*Auron steadied himself with their resonance, working to make it strong and solid before he crept under the trees, just waiting for the kishin egg to spring.*

[They wouldn't have the wait long, the Kishin Egg wasn't going to pass up on potential prey, armed or not.

The only warning they'll get is the slight creaking of a branch before it launches itself at them.

There was some advantage, however, to being in her Weapon form, the way she could "see" all around them was one of them.]

Look out!

*Warned, Auron backed away. Just in time for the drop bear to reach down with its massive claws. Auron flipped the Keyblade around in his right hand, grabbed the hilt with both hands and slashed its claws off.*

Looks like I made it mad. Can't say I'm sorry.

Me neither. [Not when it had probably killed others before.

The drop bear screeched, furious at the damage it sustained. It put its weight on its hind legs before springing at them, teeth bared.]

*The drop bear looked big and powerful but it was also slow in movement. Auron had time to dodge the jump and rake the drop bear across the back with the keyblade.*

You're more of a slashing Weapon, aren't you?

[blue_wayfinder]

[Answering with 'I am' seemed a little strange even now.]

That's right.

[Its forward momentum, coupled with the attack on its back caused the drop bear to crash to the ground. Its limbs trembled as it pushed itself back up with a snarl.]

*Auron decided not to give it any more time to recover. Better to end the fight now instead of prolonging it. He rushed the kishin egg, dodging the last few swipes and sliced its head right off, killing it instantly.*
