Characters: Judai, Johan, and anyone else who wants to wander by.
Location: The outside training facilities
Rating: PG [Shouldn't be more than that, omfg]
Time: April 17, early afternoon
Description: Judai and Johan are trying to resonate. But Judai's not very good at paying attention. Silliness ensues.
There was only so much working Judai could take before he got tired and bored of it. As it was, he and Johan had been trying to do the resonating thing - whatever it was, Judai still really didn't understand what they were supposed to be doing - since around noon and Judai was starting to feel like he couldn't take it anymore. At the same time, Johan had seemed really excited about doing this, so Judai was having a hard time bringing himself to tell the Scandinavian boy that he wanted to stop.
Instead, he just slumped over after their latest attempt and stared at the ground. "I don't get this, Johan," he said, a soft whine in his voice. "Can you explain it to me again?" He'd probably had Johan explain it to him more than a dozen times. Johan didn't really know any more than Judai did, but he seemed to understand it a lot better than Judai did.
"And can I get something to eat soon? I'm starting to get really hungry." Hunger was a good way to get out of more of this, right? Yes, what a good plan. Honestly, Judai had expected to see a lot more people around. He kept hoping that someone would come to talk to them and distract them from this seemingly pointless exercise...

But on the way out of the park, she noticed the teenagers in the training area, one with teal hair and the other with two-toned brown. As she approached, she vaguely wondered if it was natural, as Yuugi had told her his outlandish hair was.
Morning training had ended hours ago and she seldom saw folks in this part of the park in the afternoons. And one of them was slumped over. Had they been here since this morning?
“Are y’all okay? I don’t see many people still around here this time of day.” There was a twang to her voice when she spoke, a remainder of her Texas upbringing.

It was at about that time that he noticed that they were being spoken to by a newcomer. "Ahh, yeah! We're fine!" He replied, waving a little bit. "Just, you know... training," he added with a small laugh.

"We were just about to take a break!" he added brightly. "Right, Johan?" He looked at his best friend then, almost expectantly.

She nodded. "I see. Have you folks been training since this morning?" That seemed a tad excessive but then she never showed up at morning training herself unless she happened to be tending to the plants in the area. "And my name's Lily, by the way. I work here as the gardener."
no subject
"Haha, I don't think I could get this guy to work in the morning even if I wanted to." And that wasn't for lack of trying, either. He had given pretty quickly on getting Judai up in the morning for training. This little fact didn't really bother him anymore, and he shrugged it off with a laugh.
"Lily, is it? Nice to meet you," he replied with a grin. "My name's Johan."

At the mention of morning training, Judai pulled a face and then nodded in agreement with Johan. "I don't do mornings. I just can't wake up that early!" He snickered.
"And I'm Judai!" he added to the introductions. "You're a gardener? Do you really like plants or something?" Well, hello there nosy.

"You could say that. My grandmother taught me and I've been growing things since I was a little girl back in Texas." There was more to it than that since she brewed and herbs were a crucial component of her magic. But admitting that in a city at war with witches wouldn't have been smart.

"Hey! I know Texas!" Yes, Judai, most people knew Texas. "I wanted to go there, but the train I caught wound up taking me the wrong way." He sighed. "Someday, I'll make it there!" Totally off topic, whoops.
no subject
"Oh? You got on the wrong train?" She glanced at Judai curiously. "Where did you end up going instead?" Lily had traveled a lot but never quite made that mistake!

... Judai's train mishap wasn't too big of a shock for Johan. He imagined it probably happened fairly often, actually. "I'm sure you didn't mind much, though," he added.

But then, Judai always liked talking about himself, so...
"Haha, I didn't mind, no." He snickered quietly. "I think I wound up in Virginia or something. I don't really remember, 'cause I hopped on a plane right after that."

And there was a raised eyebrow for Judai. "You didn't stay? It sounds like you travel a lot. I used to, too." For years, she had traveled the world, never staying anyplace longer than several months.

He scratched the back of his neck and turn his grin to Lily. "Yeah, I don't like staying in one place too long. You're a traveler too, huh? Where have you been?" He sounded excited to be talking about traveling. He'd actually been feeling really cooped up already here.

"Oh, all over although I live in San Francisco these days." There was a small frown. "Or I did before that cotton-pickin' BREW contraption interfered. I was in Hong Kong for a while before that and France. Scotland, Jamaica, Switzerland, Thailand, Morocco. Too many places to count."
[OOC: Sorry this is so late! I'm still getting over a cold after coming back from hiatus. We can handwave the rest if the two of you prefer since it's pretty old.]
