Intro Log!
Characters: OPEN to new arrivals and NPCS.
Where: En route to Casualty Communal
Rating: Gen
Time: February 11 onwards
Description: Welcome to Death City!
The city was in good shape today, despite the recent attack to it and the unfortunate earthquake a month back. The damages to the city had been repaired best as they could, and everything else was covered in a healthy heap of decor for the upcoming Valentine’s Day.
Things were a bit somber, as was expected after so many of the residents lost their loved ones. Fortunately, if there was something Death City was good at, it was getting back on its feet after a fall.
[ooc: Player characters will also be joining the log. Everything after the sub thread Soul Perception is open to all characters.]

Oh hey I know you missed me.
But even so, he'd approach the other. He had to be helpful at the very least, especially to someone who was kind of familiar. Familiar was stretching it since they never formally met exactly.
"Hey. Stop honking at the mirror, dude. I mean, that will probably get broadcasted all over the network anyways. Pretty sure you don't want that, even if you're just being friendly," Dave said as he stood there. "Sup. I will you be your helpful fairy godbro. I'll take you around the great expanse that is this chamber and then promptly get you to ollie out, because that's apparently as far as my jurisdiction goes. Funny how that works. But you will be helped by many others along your way, so this adventure is basically listen to us talk about jackshit for like, I don't even know, I can't remember how long my introduction was." Wow. Dave is the most helpful.
"Name and occupation? Okay, I'm pretty sure I never caught your name, but I know you're a troll and you hold a pretty good beat."

The troll acts like he's ignoring him, in any case. In actuality, he hears every word. The usual shifty smile on his face is there for entirely new reasons now, though there's no actual change in his expression to show the shifting of his inner thoughts.
Odd that Dave wasn't acting as though they'd already met, though. Odd, but nothing he was going to question. There would be too many questions, and he was just keen to roll with it.
"Gamzee, my best of blasphemers," he finally answers, slowly turning at last to face the human.

"Okay, sup. Welcome to Death City. I bet you're just filled to the brim with questions. I'm apparently here to answer them. Or if you rather have someone else answer them for you, there's basically a plethora of trolls at your disposal that will probably answer you," says Dave.
"But since I've somehow agreed to this, I might as well be as useful as a I can be for your benefit. You'll probably be stuck on this shitty tour for a bit anyways. But hey, at the end, you get to find out if you're the one swinging the Weapon or the one being swung. Sounds like a good trade-off, right?"
no subject
"Gonna show this motherfucker where all shit's at? Gonna expound your wicked truths upon his opened earholes?" Dave wasn't his first choice for entertainment at the moment, but he'd do. There were definitely less enjoyable people to get an explanation from.
After all, it wasn't like the boy could do any more harm than he already had.

"Hey. I got a quick question though, since we're getting all chummy already. Where are you as far as timelines go?"
no subject
The last question gets nothing but a grin and a shrug of the troll's shoulders. "Further a-fuckin'-long than you. Or that's what it all seems."
no subject
"Welp." Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. "I'm pretty sure Karkat is going to want to hear all about it then. Me, I stopped caring so much because I'll eventually catch up on it." Or at least he thinks he will.
