[South Africa's autumn was nice. The air was dry and the temperature was mild. It was almost like a vacation except they were tracking a Kishin Egg.]

The mission said it looks like a penguin.

Why not, de arimasu? It's a penguin! Penguins are cute, de arimasu.

[She's not too sure, Keroro. None of the Kishin Eggs they've ever fought have been cute...

She pulls out a map that the local government had given them. There was an area circled in red.]

It should be near here.

[They could have been ugly-cute.

Keroro peers over at the map, poking it with a finger.]

Aren't we right on top of the area, de arimasu? Where is the cute penguin, de arimasu? I don't see any, de arimasu.

[Keroro's right. So...where is that penguin?

Somewhere to their right, something in the bushes moves, causing it to rustle.]

[And Keroro immediately looks over at it.]

Penguin, de arimasu?!

[nolicenseyet]

[Oh, it's the penguin all right. Except it doesn't look like what Keroro expects.

...unless he was expecting a penguin with an impossibly wide mouth full of razor sharp teeth.]

[THAT'S NOT A PENGUIN.]

[According to their mission description, it is.]

K-Kill it, Eve-dono! Kill it, de arimasu!

[She held out a hand for him mutely, never taking her eyes off their target.]

[starfruitfrog]

[Keroro immediately takes her hand before he wills the change, wanting the reassurance that he wasn't going to get carried away by something while in his Weapon form.]

[With Keroro's Weapon form firmly in her hand, she reaches out to press the Realization button.]

What's good against penguins?

[How is he supposed to know?! He'd never imagined a day when he'd be fighting penguins!]

F-Fish, de arimasu?

[...wait. Does that mean they just Realized a fish!?]

[starfruitfrog]

[A Zaku fish. With a Zaku horn on the top of its head.]

[A Zaku fish. Really, Keroro? Really?

And the Kishin Egg spots them as well as the fish...and with a roar, charges them. Because a penguin's weakness is fish, though not in the way Eve wanted.]

[A TOOTHED PENGUIN RANKS AMONG ONE OF THE TOP THINGS KERORO NEVER WANTED TO SEE CHARGING AT HIM.]

Th-Throw it away, Eve-dono!

[You don't have to tell her twice. She pulls her arm back and throws the fish at the Kishin Egg as hard as she could.]

[Fortunately for the two of them, the fish is quite hard and makes a thud as it bounces off the penguin's head, temporarily stunning it.]

N-Nice shot, Eve-dono!

[She's taking that chance to press the Realization button again.]

Keroro, gun.

[starfruitfrog]

[Since they're on the topic of animals, Keroro's first thought is hunting rifles. So that's what appears in front of Eve.]

[She grabs it out of mid air and...wait. Can she even work a rifle with one hand?]

[starfruitfrog]

[Gundams can do it, Eve.

[She's not a gundam, Keroro.

This would be different if she had a holster for Keroro, but sadly, she doesn't yet. The Kishin Egg gets pegged in the head again, this time by a rifle.]

[Keroro is starting to feel a bit sorry for the Kishin Egg. ]

Eve-dono, your aim is getting better and better, de arimasu.

[But not that sorry.]

What do you think we should throw next, Eve-dono?

I'd rather not have to throw anything else.

[Is it too soon to Realize something else? She'll need to sit down with Keroro and test out where their new limits are.

She press the button when she saw both the fish and the rifle disappear, hoping for the best.]

Sword.

[Swords are easy and it takes no effort at all for Keroro to Realize the familiar shape of a beam sabre.]

Go for it, Eve-dono!

[Thank goodness Eve knows how this weapon works. Otherwise the Kishin Egg may end up with another lump to match the other two its already got.

She snatches it out of the air, activating it. It flairs to life with a now familiar sound. And Eve darts forward to take out the still dazed Kishin Egg.]

[There isn't even a slight give as the bare Soul Wavelength slices cleanly through the Kishin Egg's body. What they're left with when the remains disappear is a perfect, glowing soul.]

N-Nice, Eve-dono!

[Eve depowers the beam saber and wipes at her forehead with the back of one hand.

Really, that mission had been so weird.]
