[OPEN] The Defense of Death City
Characters: Open to participants who signed up here.
Location: All over Death City.
Rating: Gen.
Time: April 5th.
Description: While one battle's fought above, an equally-important one is waged down below.
There's no choice in the matter: Kid has to lend his power to the battle… But it means that he won't be able to maintain the protective barrier keeping the Madness at bay from the city at large. It's a good thing that it's been left in good hands. While the strongest fighters have all gone up to assault the island, the ones charged with fighting below are no pushovers themselves.
It's an eerily-familiar scene to those that were around for the last invasion two months ago. Hordes of insect familiars storm the streets, picking off anyone unfortunate enough to be caught outside when the alarms sounded off -- spiders with venomous bites and acidic webbing, armored scorpions, and many-legged centipedes, all led by a Witch causing havoc of her own. Less numerous than those are the Black Clowns, seeping from the drains and the cracks in the sidewalks like oil.
When the first pieces of the floating island start to break off and fall to the desert below, the ground begins to rumble and windows shatter in their panes. Those fighting in the park in Outer Residential Quarter Three may find themselves having to dodge said pieces of island. The battle above is raging, which means it's up to the city defenders to make sure there's a home left for everyone to return to.

Stein | All around the city | Open to guest weapons
Even if with each step he took the shadows were moving, faces where there shouldn't be and more than once he has to stop himself from attacking something that's not even there. There's only so much he can do without a weapon to keep him focused, he needs to find someone. He's sure Marie and Spirit are probably up there with the others where they need to be, and he doesn't like to think he'd have to always rely on them to save him in these situations.
The insects are easy enough to fend off with his Soul Force alone, but the more he fights the more the madness is seeping in. Going on alone won't be a smart move, and his occasional stumbled steps and hallucinations are a reminder that sheer will and determination can only hold the madness off for so long.]
Hope this is okay!
While he could fight well enough with just his combat knife, he knows that it had been easier back when he worked with Sapphire. But the girl wasn't here any more, so he could only rely on himself for now.
He deflected the attack of a centipede before darting up to cut its head off, knowing that when he landed he'd be facing even more of these damn things.
What he wouldn't give for a grenade, damn it.]

At first he'd almost attacked, soul force glowing brightly in preparation, but at the last moment he turned to direct the attack at a scorpion that was aiming for the other.
A weapon. Something was better than anything, it wasn't really that he needed something to fight with as much as he needed a stabilizing factor to help focus.]
How are you handling the madness right now?
[Because really, two susceptible parties wouldn't make too much of a difference. He took out a couple more in the immediate area, his soul wavelength scaring off a few of the weaker insects from approaching without some hesitance.]

Hn. Well enough. [He could feel it in the air, but, luckily, Giroro didn't share Keroro's weakness towards the Madness Wavelength despite the fact that they were both Keronian.]

[The intent didn't leave, if only it grew stronger the more Stein looked at him. The urge to rip, tear, slice this thing open and see what was inside was strong and growing by the second. It might really be in Giroro's best interest to transform either way, there's only so much longer he could hold onto himself even as he gritted his teeth against the urges and thoughts and stared at the insects closing back in on them again.]

It was a split second decision to sheath the combat knife he had. Besides this guy was right: there was only so much he can do on his own.]
I hope you know how to use firearms.
[And that was all he said before he transformed into his Weapon form.
Hope this is okay partner. Assume a bit later? (holy balls I'm late)
[So while it took awhile to get down from the island, that's exactly what he decided to do, ignoring the tug of guilt in his stomach. I should've been here, at least dragged Stein along. Over something so stupid-- No. He wouldn't think about that right now. When either the invasion was pushed back or he was dead he'd think about it. Right now is not the time.]
[Right now, he's searching for his partner.]
Steeeeeeein!
