It's all fun and games... [Semi-closed]
Characters: Utena and Black*Star for now; maybe others when the madness really kicks into high gear
Location: ON THE COURT!
Rating: G for now, PG-13 later on for madness
Time: January 31st, Mid-Morning
Description: Utena and Black*Star owe each other a basketball match. Little do they know just how bad their timing is
Utena didn't get a chance to meet Black*Star's original challenge - unfortunately, she underestimated how long it would take for her to settle in. However, today was different. Today they were both had the entire afternoon free. Today, they would finally settle their score.
...not that they had much of a score to settle. Despite a rocky start (and Black*Star's ego), she managed to get along fairly well the few times they met. Sure, their contest was more than just a friendly pick-up match, but it was still a game between friends, right?
Still, she couldn't help but feel tense as she made her way to the basketball court. Her mind switched between hyper-aware snippets of the sounds and sights around her and brief memories of Black*Star's initial boasts.
Don't expect me to go easy on you just because you're a girl...
Her hand clenched into a fist as she quickened her pace, and she tried to push her thoughts aside. She'd go in, take the ball, and wipe the court with him. Just like during practice. See? Simple. Now all she had to do was find him, and the match could begin.

The assassin stepped onto the court, setting his jug on one of the stands when he got there -- rolling his shoulders, stretching them back, popping achy joints. His eyes flickered over at his competition, a confident smirk oozing onto his face. "You ready for this?"
One hand grasped the back of his leg, pulling it up and holding the stretch.
no subject
"More than ready," she said. Ready to wipe that smirk of his face, that is. If he thought that practice game was just a fluke, he had another thing coming.

Black☆Star grabbed a ball from the stand -- which seemed as convenient of a place as any to store them -- bouncing it to test and then giving it a shot toward the hoop. It went through the net easily and he dashed over to retrieve it, giving an underhanded toss to Utena so she could get a practice shot.
"Rock, paper, scissors for who gets the ball first?"
no subject
"Whatever," she said, before she turned around to make her shot. The ball swished through the net, and she jogged over to grab it.

Hope you don't mind a tiny, tiny bit of godmoding just to move us forward!
not at all!
That didn't matter, though: as he was about to make his shot, she noticed him slow down ever so slightly, just enough to get the upper hand. It was now or never. So, as he took aim, she jumped in, and attempted to slam the ball out of his hands as hard as she could.

His forearm suddenly jutted out, slamming into the center of her chest with as much force as he could possibly muster. What seemed like electricity started to crackle from his fingertips, and it was a good signal that she needed to move. Fast. Or risk being hit by the full brunt of his wavelength.
A twisted grin formed on the corner of his lips...and his eyes, pupils, became star-shaped -- just like the other members of his infamous assassin clan -- the group of killers who would slaughter without restraint if it meant stealing all the goods they could find. And right now, because of the black blood, he was channeling their murderous intent.

She wasn't really familiar with this sport they called 'basketball', but still very curious to see what it was like. So Black☆Star's invitation to play it had made her really happy. She didn't plan actually playing it with them, at least yet, but just seeing it was enough for her.
As she arrived to the court Utena and Black☆Star had already started to play. Without wanting to disturb them, Cinderella sat down silently to the audience and watched them carefully. Something seemed to be off with them and how they acted... Was basketball really supposed to be this aggressive? And then suddenly, Black☆Star punched Utena hard right to the chest.
"Miss Utena!" Cinderella cried out from the surprise and shock, rushing to the court to see if her friend was alright.

The words came out far harsher than she intended. However, while she didn't lose herself to the madness like Black☆Star had, she wasn't completely unaffected. Adrenaline pumped through her veins, and her nerves were as taut and on edge as they ever where. She straightened herself back up, shifting into a ore defensive stance, and stared down the boy down.
"Black☆Star," she shouted, "What do you think you're doing?!"
no subject
"Speed☆Star..." And with those words, his movement became blindingly quick -- his body practically becoming a blur as he aimed to drive his fist into Utena's stomach.

Before he could finish his words, Utena charged towards him, ready to tackle Black☆Star to the ground. However, before she could reach him, he vanished in a blur. Just where did he go?!
Before she could register what happened, the punch hit - but fortunately for her, the blow only grazed her arm. And fortune it was: while her attempt to subdue him had failed, her quick movements were just enough to throw off his aim. She hissed, half in pain, half in surprise, and dashed back away from him. She couldn't depend on luck alone to win this fight, and almost immediately, instinct took over as she swung a punch towards where she saw him last. If she wanted to win, she had to be quick, and keep Black☆Star on his toes.
oh sorry I'm late again
"Please! Both of you! Stop it, please!"
<33 it's okay !! -- should I summon Lae after your next tag, Neb?
His eyes flickered toward Cinderella again, madness overtaking him -- seeing her, not as someone who wanted to stop them, but as someone who wanted to join in the fight. His fist closed and the tell tale sparks of his wavelength flickered to life around it.
Sure!
Every breath she took drove a spike of pain through her chest, hot as fire and sharp as a knife, and her heart pounded faster and harder. Rational thought abandoned her and she knew only one thing: she had to stop him, no matter what.
There were no words. There were no cries of warning. Instead, she dove blindly towards him and Cinderella, in an attempt to slam Black☆Star to the ground before he could make his next attack.
Jean's summoning powers need improving ie, HI I'M LATE SORRY
"What the—" the words were out of his mouth when he stopped to see what looked like a fight. And there was Black☆Star hitting a girl whom he did not recognize.
But it was wrong. All wrong. This was not some planned out duel, something he could expect from the ninja. No, this was not planned at all. He could tell from the tension and the expressions.
"That idiot—" he hissed under his breath before sprinting across the court. "Black☆Star!" he yelled as he dashed in-between the ninja and Cinderella. "Snap out of it!"
